Through products like Ask Ellie and Performance Insights, engineering leaders can explore development data, uncover trends, investigate bottlenecks, and make better engineering decisions using natural language.
Entelligence AI adopted Generative UI early because the team realized that text alone wouldn't deliver the experience they wanted to create. Engineering leaders don't just need answers; they need ways to explore and understand the data behind those answers.
Throughput trends, team comparisons, delivery metrics, and historical performance data often require charts, visualizations, and interactive experiences to communicate effectively. While AI can summarize this information in text, there is only so much context that can be conveyed through paragraphs alone.
Historically, teams relied on dashboards to access this information. While dashboards provide visibility, they are often limited to predefined views and fixed experiences.
Entelligence AI wanted something more flexible: an experience that could adapt to the question being asked and present information in the most relevant format possible.
"Being able to allow users to customize that into whatever charts or experiences they want has really changed the experience."

To bring that vision to life, Entelligence AI built Ask Ellie and Performance Insights using OpenUI Cloud (formerly C1) by Thesys.
Rather than restricting users to static dashboards or text-heavy responses, OpenUI Cloud enables Entelligence AI to generate charts, comparisons, visualizations, and interactive experiences dynamically based on the context of each query.
An engineering leader can compare team performance across multiple months, explore throughput trends, investigate delivery bottlenecks, or analyze engineering activity through experiences generated on demand.
Instead of forcing users into a fixed set of dashboard views, the interface adapts to the information being requested, making engineering intelligence easier to consume and act on.
While Entelligence AI had a clear vision for how engineering intelligence should be presented, building a system capable of dynamically generating charts, comparisons, and visual experiences would have required significant frontend and rendering infrastructure.
By using OpenUI Cloud, the team was able to focus on delivering engineering intelligence while relying on a purpose-built Generative UI layer to handle the rendering of interactive experiences.
For Entelligence AI, OpenUI Cloud removed the need to build and maintain a custom Generative UI layer from scratch. Instead of investing engineering resources in rendering infrastructure, the team could focus on improving the intelligence behind Ask Ellie and Performance Insights while relying on OpenUI Cloud to power the user experience.
Generative UI has enabled Entelligence AI to move beyond both static dashboards and text-only experiences.
Users can now explore engineering intelligence through charts, comparisons, visualizations, and interactive interfaces generated dynamically based on the context of each question. This allows more information to be communicated in less space while giving engineering leaders greater flexibility in how they consume insights.
The result is a richer experience that combines the flexibility of AI with the information density of dashboards, helping teams explore engineering data in ways traditional interfaces cannot.
"There's no reason to limit to text what you can display in more powerful ways. Given that it's possible now, why constrain yourself to a medium that might not convey what you're looking for best?"
